Donald F. Swartz, age 78, of Windsor passed Sat. Jan. 21, 2017 peacefully at home with family.  Don was a much loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.  He was predeceased by his parents, Downton & Eloise Swartz, brothers, Wayne & Gary Swartz, sister, Lucille (Swartz) Boyd and by his beloved dog, Dixie.  He is survived by his loving wife, Stacy of 15 years, 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Larry, Gene (Lynn), & Randy (Lorena) Swartz, granddaughters, Taylor Swartz & Jessica Kuhn, grandsons, Gene, Corey & Nicholas Swartz, mother of his children, Lucille Swartz, mother-in-law, Marieta Sowden, brother-in-law, David Schwartz, sister-in-law, Eve Schwartz and by his beloved dog, Pepper and also many much loved nieces and nephews.  Don retired from Binghamton Container/Chesapeake Packaging in 2003 after 47 years of devoted service.  Don was an avid bowler and golfer with accomplishments of a few 300’s and a hole in one at Golden Oak Golf Course.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling with his sons and grandchildren.  After retirement Don & Stacy enjoyed spending summers at Laurel Lake in Brackney, PA, and winters in Florida.  He will be remembered for his BBQ chicken at the Lake on the 4th of July.  He enjoyed having family and friend get togethers.

Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Sat. May 20, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Sat.
