Elinor Johnson, 93 of Doraville went to be with the Lord Nov. 17, 2015.  Her husband, Lawrence F. Johnson, predeceased her Jan. 9, 2002.  Eight children and their spouses, Robert Johnson & Anita Racine, Ithaca, NY, Beverly & Grover Cook, Bainbridge, NY, Charles & Sharon Johnson, Texas, Dick & Beverly Johnson, Richfield Springs, NY, Kay & Richard Morrow, Afton, NY, Steve & Sherry Johnson, Nineveh, NY, David & Shari Johnson, Doraville, NY, Cindy & Ralph Banks, Fair Play, SC, and Cynthia Johnson Afton, NY survive her.  Her 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren will miss her.  Judy and Jim Hawley, Bethie and Emmett Youngs and Friends in the Birthday Club were very special in Elinor’s life.  She was a farm wife devoted to her husband and children and was able to live in her own home until her death.  She will be fondly remembered for her enthusiasm, kindness, strong family values which have guided generations of successful individuals here and abroad.   She was a former member of the Doraville Methodist Church, attended Three Pines Community Church in Doraville, worked on the Town of Colesville Election Board for many years and was a member of the Colesville Historical Association.

The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville, NY on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.  An additional visiting hour will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Funeral Services to follow at 11 a.m. at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Nineveh Presbyterian Cemetery.  Rev.
