Of Nineveh

Genine L. Patelunas, 80 of Nineveh went to be with the Lord on Friday Aug. 5, 2016 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Patrice & Larry Van De Weert, Nineveh with whom she made her home, 2 sons & daughter-in-law, Jefferson Ward & Beth Smith, Massachusetts, Joseph & Esther Ward, NC, a daughter-in-law, Alison Ward, 3 step sons, several grandchildren, sister & brother-in-law, Janet Champoux-Wright & Jerry Wright, Windsor, brother-in-law, Darryl Champoux, Binghamton, sister-in-law, Catharine Ward, Oneonta, several nieces, nephews and a cousin and her former husband, Wendell “Bud’ Ward.  She was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Leo Patelunas and a sister, Diane Lundmark.  She was a retired Postmaster of the US Post Office and attended the Nineveh Presbyterian Church.   

Memorial Services will be held at the Nineveh Presbyterian Church 2997 NY Rte. 7 on Mon. at 11 a.m.  Rev. Douglas Horne will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville at the convenience of the family.  The family will receive friends at the Nineveh Presbyterian Church on Mon. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.  On-line condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.  Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville.
