John R. Scott, 64 of Afton passed away on Tues. morning Feb. 20, 2018 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  He was predeceased by his parents, H. Ray & Janice Scott, brother, Harry J. Scott, sister, Joan G. DeCarmine, mother-in-law & father-in-law, Darrel & Claire Burkhardt.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Scott, Afton, brother, Tom Scott, Afton, nephews, Hunter Scott, Afton, Michael & Jenny Riley, VA, Tim Riley, Afton, niece, Laura & Jarrod Volk, Afton, Jamie & James Craig, Harpursville, brother-in-law, John Burkhardt & J.W. Harrington, Tacoma, WA and also several great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was a retired employee of Binghamton City School District.  John was a big NY Giant and Yankee fan.

Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Fri. at 5 p.m.  Rev. Barbara Green will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Fri. from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to service.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.
