Yvonne Elizabeth (Bugbee) Griswold
Of Sanitaria Springs


Yvonne Elizabeth Griswold, 84, of Harpursville, NY, went to be with the Lord peacefully the evening of January 1, 2012, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.  Yvonne was born September 26, 1927 to Charles and Y Elizabeth (Leete) Bugbee, of Butler County, PA.  She was preceded in death by her: Husband - Howard B Griswold Jr; Parents - Charles Bugbee, & Elizabeth Ross; Step-father - Hugh B Ross; Brother: David S Ross; Daughter- Kathleen E Wyatt.
She is survived by her children: Jean Holden, Huron, OH; Barbara Jones, Ft Myers, FL; Cheryl Griswold, Milan, OH; David and Therese (Paulin) Griswold, Canada; Bonnie Griswold, Bangor, ME; Carolyn Griswold, Sandusky, OH; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was in nursing for over 30 years, starting as a nurse cadet in WWII and ending as a camp nurse after retiring from Sandusky Memorial Hospital.  She was very involved in 4H, church work, in missions, visitation, nursery, sunday school and VBS, was a member of Port Crane Alliance Church in Port Crane NY, but presently attended Florence Congregational Church in Berlin Hts, OH.
Her crowns in heaven will be numerous and she will not be afraid to face God with what she has done in her life. I know she hoped the same for us all.  You will be missed for your love, your prayers, your strength, your courage, your compassion, your example, your knowledge, your humor, your guidance, your talents and just being the lady of grace you were.

Memorial services will be held on Sat. May 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Port Crane Alliance Church, Ballyhack Road, Port Crane.  Burial will be in Sanitaria Springs Cemetery.  On-line condolences may be made at:  www.omaddenfh.com.
