Albert V. Demilio, 92 of Harpursville passed peacefully after only 1 week at the NYS veterans Home in Oxford. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2004, his parents, Vittoria & Vincenzo D’Emelia and the only father he ever knew, Nick Spaziano, his sister, Antionette Noce, his brothers, Rocco & Richard Spaziano. He is survived by his 4 children, Barbara (David) Grosshans of Illinois, Margaret (Ronnie) Cheeseman of Old Welton St. Harpursville with whom he resided with the last 11 years, Thomas (Donna) Demilio, Binghamton, James (Cathy) Demilio of Michigan, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a sister, Mary Spaziano, the last of his siblings, of Windsor, and a sister-in-law, Elaine Spaziano. Dad was an Army Corp. Veteran, having been a flight instructor. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Windsor, member of the Knights of Columbus, lifetime member of the American legion and the NRA. He was a member and Past Treas. Of the Operating Engineers, Local 410 working as a crane operator.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wed. at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Windsor. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga with military honors.
