Sherland R. “Shod” Decker of Afton passed away on Fri. afternoon Oct. 23, 2015.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne Decker, Afton, daughter, Catherine Decker, Afton, 4 sons, Sherland R. “Rick” Decker, Candor, Randi Decker, Harpursville, Thomas Decker, Afton, Daryl Decker, Afton, 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Christopher, Ashlyn, Gabriel & Reagan, his sisters, Florence Connors, Bainbridge, Bernice Hartz, Deposit, Helen Cline, FL, Joann Neer, Deposit, his brothers, Dewey Decker, Deposit, Jack Decker, Kentucky and also several nieces and nephews.  Shod was a retired dairy farmer and cattle dealer.

Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Friday at 1 p.m.  Brad Decker, his nephew will officiate.  Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Fri. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service.  On-line condolences may be made at:    www.omaddenfh.com.
