Doris (Stafford) Clark, 87 passed away on Mon. Aug. 20, 2018.  Doris was a twin born in Bennettsville, NY to Edna & Lynden Stafford on July 29, 1931.  She was predeceased by her husband of 50 + years, Carlton Clark on July 5, 2013, her parents and all 11 of her siblings.  Doris was a hardworking, energetic, little spit fire of a woman.  She had a heart of gold and the mouth of a sailor.  She would give you the shirt off her back, and then tell you to get a job and buy your own damn shirt.  Doris was owner and operator of Barbie’s Ice Cream and Subs for many years, giving her customers their money’s worth.  She had a bit of a competitive streak weather she was playing cards, scratching lottery tickets, or winning at Bingo.  Doris was an avid bowler in her day.  Doris is survived by a son, Ron Clark & his wife, Joanne and their children, Steven, Kelly, Tommy, daughter, Karen Clark & her wife, Helen Harris, a daughter, Cathy Pomeroy and her children, Christopher, Heather, Jason, Michelle, Jonathan, son, David Clark & his wife, Cindi and their daughters, Ashley, Alecia, daughter, Carolyn Scott and her children, Melissa, Cody, Megan, son, John Clark and his sons, Adam, Josh, great grandchildren, Dylan, Maddie, Michael, Maxx, Liam, Helaina, Riley, Waylon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville.  Burial will be in N. Afton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Doris’ name to the Harpursville American Legion 1596 Welton St. Harpursville, NY 13787 or the Colesville Food Bank POB 62 Harpursville, NY  13787.  Online condolences may be made at:    www.omaddenfh.com.
