Doris A. Warren, age 89 of Harpursville died Mon. April 16, 2018 of natural causes and declining health.  Doris had a strong belief in Christ for Salvation and is now at peace with Him in Heaven.  Doris was predeceased by her husband, William D. Warren, daughter, Beth Svoboda, son Robert Warren and daughter, Barbara Warren.   She is survived by her sons, John (Jacque) Warren, William (Mara) Warren, son-in-law, Robert Svoboda, sister, Ruth Guley, sister-in-law, Edna Seymour, niece, Julia Ely, many beloved grandchildren and relatives as well as longtime friend, Karen Rhodes.  Doris graduated from Harpursville Central School and was Valedictorian of her class in 1953.  Doris worked many jobs when she was younger and left the “work force” for a much tougher job raising her family.  Doris spent many years farming and had a passion for the outdoors.  Often she would go for a walk and appreciate the world God made for us.  Doris also spent 25 years selflessly care giving for relatives suffering from debilitating health issues.  The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice for their help in her care.

Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Tues. at 6 p.m.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville at the convenience of the family. The family will receive fiends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Tues. from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to service. Anyone wishing to donate in memory of Doris can do so to Colesville Dollars for Scholar POB 1 Harpursville, NY 13787 in honor of her love for education and learning.  Online condolences may be made at:  www.omaddenfh.com.
