Harold “Brub” Andrews, 75, of Harpursville died unexpectedly on Sun. January 20, 2019. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Alford and Mary Andrews, and his brother Bob. He is survived by his loving wife Jan, his four sons, Todd (Karen), Richard (Lorian), James (Elizabeth), and Jason (Michelle), his 12 grandchildren Kara (Brad), Jason, Mark, AJ, Duncan, Deane, Adele, Cole, Brooke, Alexa, Danielle, and Nathan, all of whom he adored, his sister Rosemary (Fletcher), sister-in-law Brenda, and brother Kevin (Tammy) and also several nieces and nephews. He retired from the Village of Endicott where he served as the Superintendent of the Light Department for many years. Prior to that, he was a lineman for NYSEG. He is a former councilman for the Town of Colesville and a lifelong dairy farmer which was his passion. Above all, he was committed to his family who will dearly miss him. He lived life on his terms right until the very last moment.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Fri. at 3 p.m. Rev. Kevin Rollo will officiate. Burial will be in Perch Pond Cemetery, Nineveh in the spring. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Thurs. evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Fri. from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to service.
