Thomas G. Patton, 85 passed away on Thurs. May 11, 2017, with his loving family by his side.  He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Ruth Patton, brother, Fred Patton, sisters, Mitzi Shields and Mildred Koons.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen of 63 years, his children, Steve (Linda) Patton, Stephanie (Mark) Roe and Freda (John) Ballard, grandchildren, Matt, Gordon, Kristen, Stephen, Nadine,Brittney, Katie and Augustus.  He also has a step-grandchild, AJ, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Tom was a farmer for over 40 years, showed Shorthorn beef cattle at the NYS Fair and several fairs around the country.  He served on the Cattleman’s Board for several years.  He was President of the NYS Shorthorn Assoc. for many years and a member of the NYS Holstein Assoc.  Tom also served on the Agway Board of Directors and was judge of Cattle shows at county fairs.  Tom will be greatly missed.

Memorial Services will be held at the Afton Baptist Church Caswell Street on Wed. at 11 a.m. with Pastor Christopher Prezorski presiding.  Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Afton Baptist Church on Tues from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Leukemia Foundation in Tom’s name.  On-line condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.  Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71  Maple Street Harpursville.
