Velma De Morier Obituary

Velma B De Morier, age 95, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17th in Columbus, Ohio. Velma was predeceased by her husband, Larry De Morier and is survived by her children, Laura and Everett De Morier, daughter-in-law, Debbie, along with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Velma was a graduate of Binghamton High School and Delhi Technical College where she got her LPN degree. She worked as a nurse at The Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, NY for over twenty-five years and was honored with the hospitals prestigious Sally Dean Award. Velma had a love of life that was rarely seen, and she touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a vibrant and loving person who will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Chenango Valley Cemetery, Hillcrest on Tuesday, July 24th, at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by a celebration of Velma’s life at The Spot Diner. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Velma’s name to The Assembly of God Church in Walton, NY. Online condolences may be made at: www.omaddenfh.com.
