Alice M. (Palmer) Grier, 97 of West Colesville, NY went to be with the Lord on Fri. February 7, 2025, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her son, Mahlon Pangburn on Nov. 17, 2024, parents Francis & Netti (Ketchum) Palmer, sisters and their husbands Celeste (Rick) Conroy, Marian (Nick) Peroni, In-laws Howard (Helen) Grier, sister-in-law Virginia Smith and brother-in-law Donald Grier. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Kenny Grier, son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Pam Shedd, niece, Colleen Keuthan, great-nephew, Ian Keuthan, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Douglas & Trina Grier, sister-in-law Cecilia Grier, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of the West Colesville Fire Department for 40 years and The Loyal Order of the Moose in Binghamton, NY. Alice was employed at Endicott Johnson for 26 years. Alice, Kenny and Mahlon enjoyed following the Blue Denim Country Band. You would always see Alice out on the floor dancing.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Guthrie Lourdes for her wonderful care. The family would also like to thank the staff and volunteers at Mercy House for their caring compassionate care and love given to Alice in her final days.

Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Thurs. Feb. 13, 2025 at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery at a later date.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Thurs. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mercy House, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.
