Anthony "Tony" Musuta Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Raymond Musuta, 46, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16, 2026, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends.

Anthony was born on November 10, 1979, in Binghamton, New York. He grew up in Chenango Forks and was a proud member of the Chenango Forks High School Class of 1998. His younger years were filled with basketball, trying his best to be the best big brother he could to Eric, and treasured time spent with his close-knit circle of lifelong friends.

After graduating from Broome Community College and earning his degree magna cum laude from SUNY Oswego, Anthony made his home in Syracuse. There, he built the Syracuse branch of Sanico Cleaning Solutions from the ground up. Though his title was Regional Manager, Tony was known to all as a true jack of all trades—someone who could solve any problem and would never hesitate to lend a hand. He led by example and always got the job done both for customers and colleagues alike. His colleagues became extended family, a testament to the relationships he built wherever he went.

Anthony and his fiancé, Danielle Thousand, first knew each other through work, but when the stars aligned in February 2012 for their first date, a lifelong partnership began. From that day forward, they were inseparable. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared passions alongside their beloved dogs, George, Remington, and Luna.

Tony and Danielle embraced life fully—cheering as devoted Syracuse Basketball fans, spending cherished time with their nieces and nephews, experimenting in the kitchen, gardening, relaxing by the pool, enjoying the outdoors, listening to live music, supporting local events, and discovering new favorite restaurants.

Tony found joy in the simple and meaningful things: collecting memorabilia from the 1970s and 80s, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, golfing, tending to his backyard, fishing, riding his beloved GSX-R 1000, puzzling, birdwatching, stargazing, building Star Wars LEGO sets, celebrating holidays, and most of all, laughing and making memories with those he loved.

Anthony is predeceased by his grandparents, Louise and Raymond Natzle.

He is survived by his fiancé, Danielle Thousand; his mother, Sandra Carrier (Jonathan); his father, Tony Musuta (Cherie); his brother, Eric Musuta (Sarah); his stepbrother Ryan Carrier (Jen), his stepbrother Gavin Carrier (Andrea), his stepsister Aimee Taylor (Philip) and his cherished nieces and nephews, Landon, Ethan, Henry, Walker, Paityn, Charleigh, Atlas, and Dawson —along with many others who were fortunate enough to call him family.

The family will host a Celebration of his Life for all who knew and loved Tony on Sunday, June 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Kempwick Lounge at Vanderkamp in Cleveland, New York.
