Benjamin J. Haskell, 51 of Harpursville passed away unexpectedly on Mon. Feb. 24, 2020 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert & Viola Haskell and brother, Robert Haskell, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Haskell of 27 years, sister, Jess Randall & nephew, Shawn Behm, Port Crane. Also surviving are Ben’s five step children who he raised and loved with all his heart, William (Carrie) DeVaul, Binghamton, Brian (Mikayla) DeVaul, Norwich, Rhonda (Bill) Ingraham, NC, Renee Richards, Binghamton, Roxanne DeVaul, Port Crane, also 16 grandchildren, 7 great grand babies, who he cherished and adored. He has several friends whom he considered family, where he has worked for many years, Pleasant Hill Riding Stables (Illsley Family), where it later became, Jokers Wild Ranch in Port Crane. Gentle Ben had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held at Sanitaria Springs United Methodist Church on Mon. at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Sanitaria Springs United Methodist Church on Mon. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
