Obituary

Bertin Joseph Breton (Bert / Uncle Bert) 77, of Port Crane, NY passed away peacefully at home on Thursday July 21, 2022.

Bert was born July 24th, 1944 in New Brunswick, Canada to the late Blanche (Chasse) & Hector Breton. He is survived by one sister Ginette (Kenneth) McWherter of Binghamton, brothers Norman (Barbara) Breton of Vermont, William (Holly) Breton of Connecticut, brother Rene (Cindy) Breton of Connecticut, Godson (Nephew) Jamie McWherter Sr. of Binghamton.

In his early life Bert traveled across the continental United States. Besides Connecticut and New York he also lived in California, Virginia as well as Washington D.C. In 1996 he moved to Port Crane where he has made many friends in the area, including his incredible neighbors.

In addition to his garden Bert grew many plants inside and out, proving his green thumb. Bert is a retired crossing guard of the Chenango Bridge Elementary School.
