Bonnie L. Hill

Bonnie passed away peacefully at Mercy House on Sat. Aug. 6, 2022 from a short battle with a very aggressive cancer.  Bonnie was born on Oct. 24, 1943 in Ouaquaga, NY and attended Windsor Schools.  She was predeceased by her husband of more than 60 years, Charles, her parents, Louise & Willard, her brother, Richard and most recently her youngest child, Scott “Buggs.”  She is survived by her children, Charles (Mary), Dr. Donald, Steven (Laura), Richard, Wendy (Gregory), her son-in-law, Dr. John Flores, her sister, Betty and her brother Robert.  During her 78 years, Bonnie had a variety of jobs; working at the US Post Office, Hostess at Quality Inn, cashier at the Day & Night, and for the last 30 years, worked at the Eastern Broome Senior Center.  She enjoyed a great deal of hobbies, such as crafting, sewing, reading, bowling, BINGO, collecting indigenous art and she had an exceptional flair for story telling.  She’ll leave behind quite a few friends, especially James Slack.
