Christine, 72 years young, went on to heaven peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, at home reclined in her favorite chair, on Wednesday  Aug. 16, 2023 in the evening, surrounded by her children, their spouses, and close family members, while her husband held her hand and whispered the same things that she's heard for the past 50 years, "I love you", "go enjoy yourself and have fun, I'm not going anyplace, I'll be right here waiting for my turn to join you!" "I love you to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond!" "I'll love you till the end of time, and then start all over again!"

Christine leaves behind her other half and partner in life of better than 50 years, 48 of which were spent in wholly matrimony, Herbert Pleus, their son, Andrew, his wife Erin, and his son, Trenton, their daughter, Angela, her husband William, and their daughter, Emily.

Christine came into this world at home in Hunts Corners, on the 25th day of June, 1951. She was one of 6 daughters and 1 son of Mary (Crosby) Biggs and Glen Biggs, both in Heaven to greet her, along with Glen's brother and Chris's favorite uncle, Dallas Biggs. Those sisters that have gone on to Heaven before her are Patricia "Patty" Dexter and her husband Gary Dexter, Joanne Darling, survived by her husband Jim Darling, Glenna Biggs, and Sharon Collette. She is survived by older sister, Judy Hurlburt and her husband Gary Hurlburt, her younger brother Glen "Buddy" Biggs and his wife Linda Biggs, and her youngest sister Kathryn "Kate" McMahon, along with their children. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends that have come to know and love her over the years. As for me, her loving husband, I fell in love with her simple values on life...be honest, trust people, look for the good in everyone, and take on every day with the same gusto you have on a carefree summers day with nothing to do but play in the sun.

She'll always be with us in our hearts and minds but she's now healthy and with her family in heaven. She truly has the best of both worlds!

A Celebration of Her Life will be held in her memory on Saturday, September 2nd at 3 p.m. at the Belden Hill Golf Course, NY Rte. 7, Harpursville, NY. Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.   Arrangements are by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville.
