Obituary
Cynthia A. Shapley, of Coventryville, New York passed away on Sun. May 21st of 2023 in loving care of her daughter and granddaughter at the age of 65 due to heart failure. Cynthia is survived by her mother Arlene R. Nickerson, brother Kevin Nickerson and his children, husband Francis Shapley, her two children Daniel J. Janus his wife Sabrina Janus Gummoe and daughter April L. Janus and her partner Justin Staniec, many grand children, Austin Gummoe, Shawnna (Sam) Barrett, Tia Swift, Zachary Barrett, Daniel Janus Jr., and Donald Janus along with her two great grandchildren Theodore A. Rivers and Adrianne-Rose M. Rivers.
She was a member of the Fire Dept. of Coventry New York. She was Squad Captain and on the Fire Police squad for many years. She volunteered for many things in her life and loved helping anyone she could and her community. She was the light of everyone’s life and will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held at The First Congressional Church 113 Co. Road 27 (Coventryville) Bainbridge, NY 13733 on Sat. June 3, 2023 at 3 p.m.
