Donald I. Hayes, 90 of Windsor died peacefully on Mon. Oct. 6, 2025 at home.  He was predeceased by his wife, Muriel “Mitzi” Hayes. He is survived by his children and families, Donald & Lisa Hayes, Jr., Jonathan Hayes, Kenneth & Terri Hayes, Karyl Lynn (Karrie) & Douglas Shay, his grandchildren, Valerie & Scott, Shawn &  Jen, Shannon & Shawn, Colin & Courtney, Kyle, Joel, Sarah & Mat, Kenneth Jr. & Tara, Justin & Michel, Amanda, Nicholas & Zekia,  19 great grandchildren, Emilee, Bella, Andy, Carmine, Eliana, Greyson, Parker, Everett, Mason, Willow, Seamus, Brantley, Wyatt, Kaylee, Katelyn, Karley, Kenzie, Madalyn, Emma, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Robert & Meg Rounds, sister-in-law, Beverly Rounds and also several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church.  Donald founded the family business with his wife, Mitzi in 1976. 

Funeral Services will be held at the Windsor United Methodist Church on Sat. at 11 a.m.  Pastor Deb Arnold will officiate.  Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga at the convenience of the family.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Fri. from 4 to 7 p.m.  The family wishes to thank, UHS Home Health Care Nurses and Guthrie Lourdes Hospice.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.
