Earl M. Drury Jr, 90 of Port Crane died Thurs. Feb. 9, 2023 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Deabler) Drury, 3 children, Barbara & Tom Guthrie, Johnson City, Tom & Gail Drury, Canastota, Kathie & Todd Bushnell, Endwell, step children Yvonne & Russell Miller, Chenango Forks, Eric & Rebecca Storrs, West Colesville, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mary Miller, Sacramento, Lorna Perry, Utica and also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Drury and a sister, Donna Walewander.
He was a 39 year member and Past Chief of Maine Fire Dept., a 38 year member of Port Crane Fire Dept. In 1950 he joined Stittville Fire Dept. at age of 16. In 1971 he became the first certified EMT in NYS. He was a member of Broome County Chiefs Assoc. and elected the first EMT Coordinator, Faye Tyler. He was US Navy Veteran of Korean Conflict and a retired Vice-President from McIntosh Labs in Binghamton. He was a member of F & AM Eastern Light Lodge 126, Greene.
Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Sat. Feb. 25, 2023 at 1 p.m. Rev. Curtis Whitman will officiate. A Masonic Service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Sat. Feb. 25, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Port Crane Fire Dept. or Port Crane Fire Dept.
