Ed A. “Pops” Ray, 70, of Harpursville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thurs. June 1, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, April. He is also survived by his beloved dog Honda, 3 children, Stoney (Christina), Bambi, Billy (Barbie), sister, Jackie (Rick), brothers, John and Arnold (Sonny), his grandchildren, Braxton, Payton, Koltyn, Tiffany, Brandon, Mackenzie, Myrakle and Curtis, his great grandchildren, Katalina, Ryder and Maverick, Briella, Annabelle, and Will, his adopted family, the Keisters, and also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Fran, his sister, Bonnie, his uncle Victor and 2 of his grandchildren, JR and Kylie. Ed was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He loved watching his boys, grandkids and adopted family race ATVs. He loved riding around in his golf cart and he loved his “ Ol Red” (truck). Ed was the type of guy that would give the shirt off his back… if he ever wore one.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Wed. at 1p.m.Rev. Barbara Green will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Wed. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service.
