Ella L. Boyce

Ella L. Boyce, 92 of West Colesville went home to reside with her Lord and loved ones who went before her. She was born at home on Watrous Road to the late William & Susie Belle (Smith) Washburn on Aug. 2, 1929. She lived a rich, full life spending time with her family & friends. She enjoyed going to church, dancing, sewing and always being a caretaker to those in need. She was a life member and treasurer for the West Colesville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary for several years. She was a member of Bethel Chapel in Harpursville & Eastern Broome Meals on Wheels. She volunteered for Hospice. She was predeceased by her 2 husbands, Gerald S. Smith and James K. Boyce, 2 sons, Stanley J. Smith & Douglas R. Boyce, one grandson, Douglas E. Boone. She is survived by her children, David (Myrna) Smith, Susan Post, Michael (Debra) Boyce, Betty Boyce, Marjorie (Timmy) Williams, & Robert (Lisa) Boyce, her grandchildren, Hilda (Stephenie) Kasmith, Deanna (Steven) Schroeder, Christopher Smith (Carey), Christy (Andy) Rissin, Donald (Amanda) Post, Duane Walker, Jenilyn Boyce, Gerald Smith, Amanda (Michael) Jones, Paula Carpenter, James Carpenter, Ella (Matthew) Sorrell, Ruth Boyce, Douglas Boyce, Katilyn Boyce, Kyle Boyce, & Adam Barrows, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, brother, Howard (Gloria) Washburn, and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Bethel Chapel, Harpursville on Fri. at 12 Noon. Pastor Kelly Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga. The family will receive friends at Bethel Chapel on Fri. from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Chapel POB 34 Harpursville, NY 13787.
