Emma M. VanBarriger, 87 of Harpursville entered in God’s loving care after a short illness on Mon. October 11, 2021. Emma was predeceased by her loving husband, Lawrence and recently by her loving son Larry, her grandson Daniel VanBarriger and her parents, Edward and Carmella Enourato, her sister, Mary Ongaro and her brother, Richard Enourato, her in-laws, Etta and Chester VanBarriger, brothers-in-law, Arnold, Chester (Ellen) and Norman (Kay), sisters-in-law, Berdella (Bud) Walker and Winifred Jacobs.
She is survived by her brothers, Anthony (Marie), Leonard (Marie), Eddie (Dottie) and brother-in-law, Art. She is survived by her children, Carol (Chris), Cyndi (Bob), Cathy (Kevin) and loving daughter-in-law, Alice, her loving grandchildren, Larry, Eddie (Niki) VanBarriger, Jon VanBarriger, Lloyd Jones, Jeff (Amy) Jones, Casie (Tim) O’Connor, Chad Ahearn, Corey (Chanell) Ahearn, Angela Cruty (Chad), Julie (Mark) Richards, Justin Cruty, Jason (Nicole) Warner & Jennifer Warner, her great grandchildren, Anthony, Collin, Josh, Nicolas, Allison, Ryan, Patrick, Alivia, Daniel, Brooke, Gage, Gavin, Carly, Kaylee, Brenden and Ayden along with several nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.
Emma was born in New Jersey, later moving to Harpursville, NY. She was employed by Koehler’s Manufacturing for a number of years continuing her career at Chenango Forks High School. She was a great cook and she loved crocheting. She will be missed by so many people. A special thanks to Arlene and Larry Noyes that were always there to help her.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Tues. at 11 a.m. Pastor Sue Crawson–Brizzolara will officiate. Burial will be in Knox Cemetery, Ouaquaga. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Tues. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
