It is with great sadness, that we share the passing of Gary Kenneth Demeree. Born on March 29th 1950 to his parents Kenneth Demeree, Beatrice W. (Getter) (Demeree) Tanner and Myron Tanner. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Steven W. Demeree, nephew Steven
Kenneth Demeree, his beloved aunts, and grandsons Chase and Robert. He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Kathleen Demeree, his sister Elaine Demeree, his step-siblings Russ and Lori Tanner and his children, Somer (Demeree) Balch and Kyle Balch; Chris Reynolds; Michelle (Demeree) Forinash and Shane Forinash; Rebecca Banks and Christopher Banks; his precious grandchildren: Dakota Barriger, Noah Barriger, Christian Barriger, Jaeden Barriger, Lily Barriger, Levi Barriger, Daisy Barriger, Roman Reynolds, Alex Reynolds, Kaylee Forinash, Juliana Forinash, Jayce Forinash, Abigail Banks, Christopher Banks, and Izzabella Banks; and great grandchildren Paisley, Clayton, Baby Ember, and Baby Lilah. Gary was a Harpursville School Alumni, Class of 1968. He graduated from BCC and Binghamton University with honors, Magna Cum Laude. He was very proud of his many years of sobriety and being a part of A.A. He retired as a drug and alcoholism counselor. His greatest joys were his family and his fur babies. From family cookouts to his grandchildren’s games and survival trips, he was always there. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, wood working, and cooking. He was famous for his delicious spiedie sauce! He had the most beautiful singing voice and now is singing with the angels! He will be deeply missed and forever loved, living on in his children and grandchildren’s hearts forever.
Funeral Services will be held at the Three Pines Church (Doraville) located at 1374 E Windsor Rd, Harpursville, NY 13787 which he regularly attended with Rev. Brown residing, on Sun. May 22nd at 6pm.
