James J. Savino

James J. Savino, age 66, passed away November 22, 2021 after a four year battle with ALS. He was born December 31, 1954 in Mt Vernon, New York. Jim was a talented engineer who could fix anything! His passions in life were piloting small airplanes, teaching others to fly, hunting, camping, rock climbing, and traveling with his family. He also enjoyed target shooting and matches.
James leaves behind his wife, Debbi (Hacker) Savino, of 17 years; children, Caitlin of Ithaca, NY, Rochelle Brahalla of Brooklyn, NY, Michael and James of Temple, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents; Carl Samuel Savino and Mary Eugenia (DeMarco) Savino, and a friend that he considered to be closer than a brother, Col. Michael P Finn, US Army.
Memorial Services will be held at the Nineveh Presbyterian Church on Sat. Jan. 1, 2022 at 1 p.m. Friends will be received, 12:30 to 1 pm at the Nineveh Presbyterian Church in Nineveh.
