Jeffrey D. Donovan of Tunnel, NY passed away on Thurs. July 20, 2023 at the age of 67.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Helen Donovan and mother-in-law, Ethel Gates.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Alice J. (Gates) Donovan, his son and daughter-in-law, Ash and Aimee Donovan, and his precious grandchildren Reilly Jane and Jack Presley.

He is also survived by his sister, Kelly (Phil) Williams and brother Gary (Terri) Donovan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lois (Richard) Lum, John (Sharon) Gates, Tom (Joan) Gates, Dan Gates, Gregg Gates, Warren Mignerey and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; with special thoughts of predeceased in-laws, Kenneth Gates, Phyllis Mignerey and Jan Delaney.

Jeff was employed by I.B.M. Corp. with 30 years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hosting card parties and cooking in his kitchen with no one in his way.  He will be fondly remembered for his scalloped potatoes & ham and deviled eggs.  He loved “Sparky”, his old family dog.  Jeff’s favorite saying was “It is what it is.”

He was a truly devoted grandfather and he cherished Reilly and Jack more than life.

A Celebration of His Life will be held in his memory on Sunday August 13th at 4 p.m. at the Belden Hill Golf Course, NY Rte. 7, Harpursville, NY.  A private burial will be held in New Ohio Cemetery, Tunnel at a later date.
