Katherine A. "Betty" Lee, age 88 of Mount Vernon, Ohio and formerly of Harpursville, New York passed away on Tuesday, August 17 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on July 7, 1933, in Johnson City, New York to the late Earl and Pauline (Dibble) Andrews. She was employed and retired from the New York Telephone Company with over 20 years of dedicated service. Betty was a long-time member of the Harpursville Baptist Church where she was active in the Church Choir and also numerous Ladies groups. She was a member of the American Legion. She was a horse enthusiast and enjoyed going to horse shows for many years. But most of all, Betty loved the time she spent with her family and her friends. She is survived by her sons, Randy Lee, Ronald (Nancy) Lee; daughter-in-law, Candi Lee and five grandchildren, Travis Lee, Michelle Lee, Joshua Lee, Nathan Lee and Brianna Lee. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased in death by her husband Norman Lee; and her son Norman "Rick” Lee.
Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Mon. Aug. 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. Pastor Craig Schnurbusch will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Mon. Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to service.
