Kathleen Stoop Anderson

July 10, 1047 – January 8, 2021

Kathleen S. Anderson, 73, entered eternal rest on January 8, 2021 after a brief illness (COVID 19).  She was born in Delhi, NY and graduated from Delaware Academy and Central School.  She loved sewing and owned a fabric shop in Deposit, NY for a few years.  After a serious automobile accident, she struggled for many years to overcome her injuries.  She   was a courageous, fun loving person.  She loved her family, crocheting, sewing, and visiting.  Kathy enjoyed time with both her family and church family, as well as road trips across the country to visit friends and relatives.  She enjoyed winters in Florida and spending summer evenings on the porch or gazebo at her house by Deer Lake, admiring the coy fish pond, stone work, various gardens, and other items she and Jim had built over the years.  Her deep faith in God was her foundation and source of strength.  Kathy’s greatest gifts to everyone were her endless supply of love and acceptance, her contagious sense of humor, her positive outlook, and her natural ability to make those around her smile.

She was predeceased by her son, David Rider; her husband, James Anderson; and her mother and father, Carolyn Cameron and Cornelius Stoop.

She is survived by siblings; Kaaren Powell (Dick), Mark Stoop (Nancy) and Michele Murdock (Ralph) and step children; James Anderson (Anita), Debbie Travis (Dominic Zazzaera), Darcy Harris (Mike),  Denise Cox , Matthew Anderson and Brian Anderson; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
