Kelly Lynn Decker
March 24, 1979 – November 29, 2025
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Kelly on November 29th, 2025. Kelly was best known for her bright, radiant smile and the way she made everyone feel like family. To all of those who knew and loved her, she was simply “Bubba”.
Bubba brought love, laughter, and warmth wherever she went. She treated everyone with kindness, respect and loyalty. She was the glue that held our family together, the one who checked in first, hugged the hardest and stayed the longest. Life will never be the same without her.
Kelly is predeceased by her mother and father, Patricia and William Charles Decker Sr., whom she loved so deeply. We take comfort knowing that they have welcomed her with open arms and they are all reunited once again.
Kelly leaves behind a family whose love for her knew no bounds. Her siblings, who will miss her every minute of everyday — Sandy (Mark), Randy (Meri-K), Annmarie, Janet and Ronnie (Kathy). She was a devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews—Sandy’s children Chrissy (Mike), Marky, Joley (Wayne), and Makayla (Jacob); Randy’s children Raenee (James), Marci (Jason), and Devon (Samantha); Annmarie’s children Jeremy (Danielle), Jacque (Demetrius), and Eddie; Janet’s children Brandon (Tori), Courtney (AKA Pookie) and Flow Lee, Zachary (Emily), and Austin (Anjolie); and Ronnie’s son Jeremy.
Among them, she shared a unique, strong and unbreakable bond with Jacque, Demetrius and their three boys; Demetrius Jr. (Man), Darius (Chuppy) and Dorian (Stinka). To them, she was more than their Aunt — she was a second mother, a best friend and their biggest cheerleader. Their home was her home. Their happiness was her happiness, and she made sure each of them felt just how truly special they are.
She had a special place in her heart for each of her great nieces and nephews, many of whom she lovingly called by her own special nicknames—names that will forever echo the warmth and humor she brought into their lives. Adrionna (Monkey), Alex (Moose), and Michael (Bear); Andrew and Aria; Serenity; Savannah; Trinnity; Mackenzie; Rowan; Maverick and River; Macey (Butt-Butt), Jaxson, and Karson; Demetrius, Darius, Dorian; Zander; Talon, Tyler, Teain, and Madilyn; Brantley, Jansen, Ellamae, and Mallory – ALL of whom she loved and treated as if they were her own. She was the very best Aunt anyone could ever ask for, forming bonds and creating memories that will continue to shape their lives forever.
Through her life, Kelly was blessed with lifelong friendships that began back in grade school — friendships that stood the test of time. She cherished those friends and stayed connected through every season of her life. They laughed together, cried together, and loved each other fiercely. The memories they shared are an irreplaceable piece of Kelly’s story.
Kelly also leaves behind her lifelong love and best friend, Omar Ferrell (Cracker). Their relationship was built on loyalty and a love that never wavered. They supported each other through every high and low of their lives, having each other’s back, no matter what. Their bond was powerful, genuine, and truly one of a kind.
Her four-legged sidekick, Rico, was truly her world. He was her best friend and greatest joy. Where Kelly went, Rico followed — whether it was riding shotgun, sneaking treats, or curling up together at the end of a long day. He brought her comfort, laughter and unconditional love, and she spoiled him like the true King she believed he is. Their bond was pure and special, and the love they shared warmed everyone’s hearts.
Though our hearts are shattered, we know that she is at peace — reunited with her Momma and surrounded by the beauty of Heaven. We will miss her endlessly, but her spirit and her love will live on in all of us, forever.
A celebration of life will be held for Bubba on December 6th, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sanitaria Springs Fire Station. We welcome all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
