Kevin Kennedy Obituary

Kevin T. Kennedy

Of Nineveh

Kevin T. Kennedy, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023, at the age of 66, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on July 19, 1956, in Huntington, NY, to William and Virginia (Solomito) Kennedy, he was the youngest of 12 siblings and grew up on the North Shore of Long Island, NY.

Kevin had an illustrious career in the woodworking industry, starting as a cabinetmaker at MLU Furniture and Northrop Grumman Aerospace. Eventually, he became an entrepreneur and started his own business, where he specialized in building custom millwork and cabinetry, leaving behind a legacy of impeccable craftsmanship.

An avid outdoorsman, Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating with his friends and family. He was a member of the Bethel Chapel and served as a Road Captain with the Christian Motorcycle Club for many years. After raising his family on Long Island, he relocated to Nineveh, NY where he purchased his family’s home and lived to spend more time doing the things he loved.

Kevin is survived by his three children, Tracy Kennedy, Kimberly Kennedy, and Kevin Kennedy Jr., and daughter-in-law, Maria (Russo) Kennedy, all of Long Island, as well as his four grandchildren, Daniel, Jayden, Bennett, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his three brothers, Michael, Richard, and Gary, and his sisters-in-law, as well as his dearest best friend Cheryl Obenauer. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, and six brothers. Kevin will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, especially his nephews Joey Kennedy and Michael Canny.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held at the Bethel Chapel, 3486 NY-79, Harpursville, NY 13787, on Sat. March 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. Following the service, Kevin will be laid to rest at Perch Pond Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Bethel Chapel on Sat. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service.  His warm personality, creative talent, and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
