Leona (Jenks) Casterlin

Leona Casterlin, age 93, was welcomed into heaven on Mon. July 7, 2025. She was born on Sept. 19, 1931, and married her beloved husband George on April 30, 1949.

Lay loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, her friends & family & her home. She affectionately cared for many children for much of her adult life, & they will always remember her as Nanny. She was a prayer warrior & derived her great wisdom from time spent with the Lord & reading his word. Family dinners, music, reading, Myrtle Beach vacations & long phone conversations with her twin sister & best friend Ramona were among her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her 2 children, Gary (Cindi) Casterlin & Rita (Jerry) Todack, 7 grandchildren – Ricke (Shari) Casterlin, Jamie (Michael) Bland, Chad (Amy) Baker, Doug, Tom (Heather) & Kyle  (Danielle) Todack & Sheri Dunkle, as well as several great & great great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Preceeding her in death were her loving husband of 60 years, George, her parents Harry & Edith Jenks, her 12 siblings, 2 grandsons Jerry & Benji Todack, & 1 great grandson Adam Roy Todack.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Port Crane Cemetery on Friday, July 11th  at 1:00 pm.  Online condolences may be made at:  www.omaddenfh.com.  Arrangements are being made by Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home in Harpursville NY.
