Lorita A. Acquisto 70, of Windsor went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tues. Sept. 30, 20205 at her home.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Carissa, her father, Charles McDaniels, her siblings Charles, Glen, and Margaret McDaniels, her grandchildren, Carina Hartwell, and Tyler Colwell.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Acquisto, Jr., her 6 children: Lorina & Dan Colwell, John J. & Susan Acquisto, April & Matthew Hartwell, Alicia, Ashley & Elijah Acquisto and son-in-law, Stoney & Christina Ray, her grandchildren, Tiffany(Brandon), Noah(Lauren), Logan(Haylie). Braxton(Olivia), Payton(Cordel), Lil Tiffany, Mackenzie. Jason, Salena(Cait), Charlize, and Alayzia, and 12 greatgrandchildren, as well as numerous foster children, her mother, Rita McDaniels, sisters, Carmen Wheeler, Tonya (Donald) Andrews, brothers, Joseph (Melaney) McDaniels, Daniel (Diane) McDaniels, and also several nieces and nephews.
She was a partner of City Church, Binghamton. She enjoyed camping at Rock Mountain Bible Camp where she spent many hours playing games. She has close friends including Marci, Melaney, Lisa, Val, Esther, Kierstion, and Cathy. She had a love for thrifting, card making, scrapbooking, bible studies, gardening and bird watching. She had a passionate and caring heart to anyone in need. Through the years she worked at various places such as Masciarellis Market, Lourdes Daycare, Wyoming Conference Children's Home, Family and Children's Society, Colwell Brothers Construction and Assemblies of God Ministries.
At the request of Lorita she would like anyone who received one of her handmaid cards through the years, to bring one of your favorite cards to place on display at her memorial.
Memorial Services will be held at City Church 285 Main Street Binghamton on Friday Oct. 17, 2025 at 6 p.m. Rev. David Taylor will officiate. Private burial will be held in Knox Cemetery Ouaquaga at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at City Church on Fri. Oct. 17 from 5 to 6 p.m. prior to service.
