Makel Brittany Silfee

Makel Brittany Silfee, 32, received her Glorified body at home on April 23, 2022, with her family by her side. Makel is a 2011 graduate of the Broome-Tioga BOCES PALS program.

Makel’s greatest love was her family. She was predeceased by her loving Mother, Gail Silfee. Left to cherish her memory is her Father Karl Silfee, Sr. She will also be deeply missed by her sissy Shaun VonLangen (Daryl), brothers Jason Silfee (Heather), Karl John Silfee, Jr (Vanessa), and by her best friend/second mom Cheryl Porter (Don). Her memory will also live on in the lives of her many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, and Great Nephews.

Makel's life touched many. Her infectious smile and contagious laughter were only outshined by her unending strength. She was easily the brightest light in the lives of anyone blessed enough to spend any moment with her. She was very eager to share with everyone she met her love of Toy Story, Barney, Wheel of Fortune, and chicken nuggets.

To honor her memory, we ask that you simply put a smile on someone’s face that you meet. In lieu of flowers, her wish would be that you pay it forward with some chicken nuggets to brighten someone’s day.
