Martha Sue Jean “Susie” (Humphrey) Sayman, age 55, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.
Susie was welcomed into Heaven by those who went before her: her father, Aubrey Humphrey; her mother, Sylvia Harrell; her stepmother, Margaret Humphrey; and her beloved son, James N. Sayman Jr. While her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with them.
She leaves behind a family who was the center of her world: her son, Brandon L. Humphrey; her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Devyn Wilcox; and her daughter, Kathryne N. Sayman. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Julie Humphrey Hatter, Carolyn Watkins, Steven Humphrey, Jackie Humphrey, and James Harrell. Her greatest pride and joy were her ten cherished grandchildren~Derek, Isabella, Nevaeh, Alannah, James, Gabriella, Bailey, Edward, Aubriella, and Gabriel~each of whom held a very special place in her heart. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as cousins who will forever treasure her warmth and kindness.
Susie was a woman of boundless compassion whose life was defined by love, generosity, and selflessness. She had an extraordinary heart and to know her was to know unconditional love.
Above all, Susie was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishments and the light of her life. She poured her heart into her family, creating a legacy of love that will continue through generations.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her laughter, her compassion, and her unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
A Memorial and Celebration of Susie’s Life will be held later, with the date and time to be announced. Online condolences may be made at: www.omaddenfh.com. Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville. A MADDEN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME.
