Milton D. Hawkins, 85 of Binghamton died Thursday morning Feb. 11, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.  He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Hawkins, mother Madeline Hawkins and siblings, George, Evelyn, Ernest, Beverly, Bernard, Winifred, Lillian and Rosie.  He is survived by his wife, Candise Hawkins of Binghamton, two brothers William Hawkins Sr. and David Hawkins, three sons & daughters-in-law, James & Lori Hawkins, Michael & Paula Hawkins of Harpursville, Douglas & Denise Hawkins of West Colesville, daughter Michelle & son-in-law Joseph Yahner of Chenango Forks and daughter Melissa & daughter-in-law Maureen Hawkins of New Milford, CT, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge and a retired employee of Security Mutual.  He was also well known for Milt’s Barber Shop and Greene Laundromat.  After retirement, he worked for Hawkins Homes for ten years and Miller/Dodge/Honda for 15 years. Milt was a man of faith who worked as a lay speaker at several local churches.  He was a man of many trades who loved to work and would never sit still. He was a true family man who made sure to never miss a sporting event for his kids.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville at the convenience of the family.  Burial will follow in the spring at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.  Memorial Contributions may be made to:  Leukemia Lymphoma Society at:  https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate or Chenango Ambulance Service 83 Chenango Bridge Rd. A Celebration of Life for Milton D. Hawkins, 85 of Binghamton, who died Thursday morning Feb. 11, 2021, will be held on Sat.
