Norman E. West, 89 of Doraville passed away Fri. morning Jan. 29, 2021 at his home.  He was predeceased by his brother, Walter L. West, and a sister, Dorothy Jean Luce.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen, 3 children and their families, Michael & Barbara West, Johnson City, Debra & Kevin Wilson, Hillcrest, Carrie & Steven Warner, Doraville, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, special friends, George & Edie Hines, Willett, sister-in-law, Mary Potter, Cortland and also several nieces and nephews.

He was a member & Assoc. Pastor of Bethel Chapel, Harpursville, Pastor of Belden Christian Union Church from 1979 to 1989, and a member of Family Music Ministry singing at various nursing homes.

He was a retired Deputy Superintendent of Colesville Highway Dept., former Town Magistrate and drove Bus for Harpursville Central Schools.  He was a member of Harpursville American Legion Post 1596 and a US Army Veteran of Korean Conflict.

Private Funeral Service will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  Colesville Volunteer Ambulance Service (CVAS) POB 62 Harpursville, NY 13787 or Nineveh Public Library 3029 NY-7  Nineveh, NY  13813.  Online condolences may be made at:    www.omaddenfh.com.
