Patricia A. Warpus, 76 of Sanitaria Springs passed away Tues. evening March 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.  Grandma Patty cherished being a grandmother.  Grandma Patty is survived by her children and grandchildren, Allan and Mari Standish-Warpus, Austin, Graci, Amei and Owen; Kathy and Mike Butler, Tyler, and Ally; David and Tonia Warpus, Trevor, Drew and Maggie.  Grandma Patty’s children and grandchildren were her life.  She enjoyed Traveling near and far to as many “Ball” games as she could possibly fit in any day, week or month.  Patty loved to explore the world with all of her traveling partners, especially Bonnie Bronson.  Their travels took them to many casinos across the country.  Her love for Bingo kept her a bit closer to home.  Patty was predeceased by her mother and father, Martha and George Hoyt, and her sister, Diane Hoyt.  She is also survived by her brothers Donald and Joyce Hoyt, David Hoyt and Alice, Gary and Barbara Hoyt, as well as many nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to “Uncle David” for always being there for her.  Patty retired from the Chenango Valley Central School Department of Transportation.  She made many close friends at work, as well as her hometown of Tunnel Tech.  After 7 courageous and hard fought years, Grandma Patty could not fight the battle against cancer any longer.  Our family would like to thank Patty’s “3rd adopted son” Art Charles and his wife DeeDee for being so much more than neighbors.  You took care of her like she was your own mother.  Words cannot express our gratitude.  Also a big thank you to Doctor Kahn and his staff for giving us those extra, precious years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat. April 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Belden Hill Golf Course.  Burial will be in New Ohio Cemetery, Tunnel at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to New Ohio Cemetery POB 42 Tunnel, NY   13848.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.   Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville.
