Prafulla “Bob” Mohanty was born in India on Oct. 22, 1943, and while surrounded by friends and family passed away on Jan. 6, 2023. He came to the US in 1970 to pursue the American dream. He obtained an MBA at Binghamton University and worked hard to make a wonderful life for himself, his wife, and their daughter.  He was a banker, an entrepreneur, and a financial advisor. Bob spent much of his time watching tennis and football, with the buffalo bills being his favorite team.  His best friend was Jim Hawkins, they spoke daily about life, future plans, and pretty much everything. He was like family to the Hawkins family. Bob was also an amazing father, always there for his daughter thru thick and thin and a wonderful husband to his wife, making sure both were always supported and taken care of.  He is survived by his wife, Radharani Mohanty, his daughter, Anita Mohanty-Barnes, son-in-law, Jason Barnes, and his fur-grand babies, Taco & Apollo.

 Memorial Service will be held at the Harpursville United Methodist Church on Sat. at 11 a.m.  Rev. Ronald Wenzinger, Pastor will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the Harpursville United Methodist Church on Sat. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.
