Robert P. Benjamin
Of Harpursville
The Spirit in the Sky came for Bob on Sat. Dec. 12, 2020 after a yearlong battle with many health complications at his favorite place, his cabin on the hill. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie, his son, William, daughter-in-law, Jessica and their beautiful daughters, Eve & Madison, and a new family member due in June, his sister, Susan, her husband, Jim Short and also several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul & Mildred Benjamin, his brother, Larry and sister, Sally.
Bob owned his own trucking business and was happy his son joined the business with him and enjoyed trucking too. Going to the MidAmerica Truck Show every March in Louisville, KY was a yearly family tradition. When not trucking, he loved being with his family. He enjoyed boating and riding his Kawasaki Mule, giving his granddaughters rides around the property. In his earlier years, he enjoyed trips on his Harley Davidson with his wife and son.
He will be severely missed by his family, but they are glad his battle is over and he can be at peace now.
