Rosemarie P. “Rosie” Knecht, 91 of Oxford died Tues. June 23, 2026.  She was predeceased by her parents, a sister and her companion of 32 years Barry Nye.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Russell Hendrickson Sr., Harpursville, a son, Michael J. Knecht, AZ, 2 grandchildren, Bryan & Carrie Davis, Greene, Julia Knecht & Turan Sidky, Pittsburgh, PA, 2 great grandchildren, Cooper & Evan Davis, Greene.

She was a retired employee of Catholic Charities of Chenango County, owned and operated the former Candlewick Inn in Oxford.

Private Graveside Services will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Chenango County 3 O’Hara Drive Norwich, NY 13815.
