Shirley T. Fairchild, 86 of Harpursville died Fri. Sept. 10, 2021 at her home.  She was the daughter of Erwin B. & Nora (Wakely) Truman.  She was predeceased by her son & daughter-in-law, Douglas & Lorraine Fairchild and her former husband, John Fairchild.  She is survived by her children, Thomas Fairchild & Kim Kelly, Newark Valley, Edward & Deborah Fairchild, Harpursville, William Fairchild & Eileen Messing, Horseheads, Wendy Fairchild-Miller & Lynn Warner, Bainbridge, 8  grandchildren, several  great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her brothers & sisters, Marjorie Ingraham, Harpursville, Robert & Anita Truman, Sidney, Don & Kathy Truman, Nineveh, Nancy & Gerry Harris, Afton,  and also several nieces and nephews.  She was a member of the Harpursville United Methodist Church, retired employee of Osterhoudt Furniture & Funeral Home, former member of CVAS, Secretary & Board Member of Riverview Cemetery Assoc. and a member of the Harpursville Alumni Assoc.

Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71  Maple Street Harpursville on Tues at 1 p.m.  Pastor Sue Crawson-Brizzolara will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Tues. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.  A special thanks to all her aides and caregivers for their help.
