Walter M. Gorton, 82 of Windsor died Friday May 31, 2024 at his home.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Gorton, Windsor, a daughter, Deborah Gorton, Windsor.  He was predeceased by his son, John Charles Gorton and brothers, William & James Gorton.

He was retired parts and service manager with various auto dealerships in Binghamton and Afton. Walt was an avid outdoorsman participating in hunting, fishing, and recreational boating. He loved spending time on the waters of the Finger Lakes and the St Lawrence. He made easy friends with others on the water and was often part of shenanigans in giving friends awards.

He was a US Army Veteran.

Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Fri. at 4 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Fri, from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to service.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.
