Dear Family... you probably do not know me, but I have had the greatest pleasure to spend time with Avery during his 7th and 8th grade years. He was always so kind, warm, and caring. Everyday when I entered his 8th grade Math class, regardless of what was going on, he would always say to me, "Good morning, Mrs. Hamlin!" with his sweet smile and sparkling eyes. I will miss seeing him on occasion in Damascus also when he would visit his friends and family there. He will be remembered always! My heart goes out to you.

We are all grieving as a family. We love Avery with all of our hearts and will always hold him close. There's no way of understanding the "why"....but I know he was deeply loved. It's such a painful reminder that there are no guarantees in life. We were so blessed, as a family, to have had Avery in our lives. We love you all and wish we could all be there to help and be a support. Hopefully we can be together soon. All our love and prayers.
