Omar A. Truesdell
Of Nineveh

Omar A. Truesdell, 88 of Nineveh died Wed. Nov. 4, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy E. Bender Truesdell.  He is survived by his son, Charles and fiancé” Jeannie, daughters, Charleen, Mary Ann and son-in-law, Keith Vincent, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren.  Omar was the owner and operator of Little Job Construction, former bus driver for Harpursville Central Schools and retired farmer.  He was a member of the F. & AM.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler, having bowled a 300 game numerous times and was a World Champion Horse Shoer.  He loved to travel To FL with Lucy for the winters, spend time at his lakefront camp on Cayuga Lake and tell a good story.  Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Sun. at 3 p.m. Rev. Emrys Tyler, Pastor of Nineveh Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, NY.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Sun. from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:  American Cancer Society 13 Beech St. Johnson City, NY 13790.  On-line condolences may be made at:    www.omaddenfh.com.
