Of Harpursville

Steven C. Hurlburt, 58 of Harpursville passed away Mon. June 20, 2016 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  He was predeceased by his parents, Carl E. & Beverly J. (Rhodes) Hurlburt and a brother Jeffrey Hurlburt.  He is survived by his fiancé, Ellen Lord, Harpursville and his step children, Savannah Knickerbocker & Chris Krawczyk, Scott Knickerbocker, Cassie Knickerbocker & Billy Stolpinski, his close friends, Amedeo Cimini and Bill Olin and his bassett hound, Horton. He was predeceased by his step son, Adam.  He was a retired employee of the Town of Colesville Highway Dept. and operated the Family farm in Harpursville.  He was an avid train lover.

Graveside Services will be held at the New Ohio Cemetery, Tunnel on Fri. at 11 a.m.  Pastor Sue Crawson-Brizzolara will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Thurs. from 4 to 6 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Colesville Volunteer Ambulance Service (CVAS) POB 62 Harpursville, NY  13787.  On-line condolences may be made at:   www.omaddenfh.com.
